Google Search Console Performance Report Filters Now Persistent

Google Search Console’s performance report filters will now remain set to the last configuration you used. Google announced on social media that the “Performance report filters are now sticky.” Additionally, there is a “reset filters” button to quickly remove any set filters.

More details. The Search Console performance reports, including the Search performance report, the Discover performance report, and the News performance report, will retain the filters you set as you move from one to another.

Moreover, when selecting a row in a specific tab within the Search Console performance report, the report will automatically switch to the Queries tab. If you are already in the Queries tab, it will shift to the Pages tab, explained Daniel Waisberg from Google.

Why we care. When conducting your SEO reporting, you will need to adjust your behavior while using Google Search Console. With the filters now remaining as set, it’s essential to keep this in mind when viewing and exporting data.

This change could enhance efficiency over time, but like any modification to a tool you use regularly, it may take some time to adapt.
